The 2019 Amazon Consumer Survey ran by CPC strategy focuses mainly on driving purchases, and the Gen Z female population is obsessed with Amazon. While a great deal of consumers start searching for any products on Amazon, the Gen Z female population is more like to take on Amazon than others. CPC strategy shows clear marking of how Gen Z females are involved in Amazon searches than any other demographic. The firm’s 2019 survey studied 2000 American Amazon shoppers and revealed their shopping patterns and behaviors, and what it means for brands. After becoming a part of Elite SEM, the firm is now a retail-focused and performance marketing agency. Which allows them to process facts and numbers, to bring forward facts.
Another study conducted by a San Francisco based independent research firm by the name Survata stated, that with the passage of time more consumers trust Amazon for product discovery. Furthermore, it stated that 55.2% of consumers are willing to purchase products from unknown brands on Amazon then compared to any other store. Senior Marketplace Channel Analyst at CPC Strategy, Jen Acosta said, that the intent is not to purchase from the product from a specific brand, but to purchase a product. Which is why 72.1% of Gen Z female shoppers turn to Amazon for any new product discovery. The percentage compared to the low 54% of new product discovery taken up by average buyers shows a visible difference. Dalton Dorne, Chief Marketing Officer at Elite SME feels that Gen Z female shoppers are the largest and influential generation, and are quite different from the generations before them. Dorne Added: Brands that are not looking in their direction, or find it hard to appeal to them are going to hit a rough patch. As more than 64.3% of Gen Z females purchased from Amazon in the last 6 months. These include purchases made on well-known brands, and off brands as a whole. Moreover, while more than 53% of Amazon shoppers spend more than $50 each month. On the other hand, the majority of Gen Z female shoppers about 93.3% of them spend more than $100 per month on Amazon. The main aspect that pulls them towards Amazon is their fast and free shipping and makes it a top reason to buy clothes on Amazon even when they cost more than other online or local stores. While the price is a huge aspect when pulling a consumer towards any purchase, the convenience and additional as free and fast shipping makes a great deal of difference. These paired with product reviews, and other opportunities really help in sealing the deal. Making it clear that brands need to hold a strong presence to maintain sales. Comments are closed.
