Seller Central Wants to Run Your Shopify, TikTok, eBay, and Walmart Too

Amazon announced new multichannel selling tools in Seller Central this month, and they are worth your attention. Connect your eBay, Shopify, TikTok, and Walmart accounts, link listings, view orders and sales, and fulfill eligible orders from one workspace. The rollout is gradual across US accounts and free.

Amazon's own justification is hard to argue with: more than 95% of independent sellers already sell on multiple channels. If that is you, you know the pain. Duplicated catalog work. Five dashboards. Reporting stitched together in spreadsheets.

Here is what is actually available now, and what is still on the way. Today you can connect the four channels, import or link off-Amazon listings, see multichannel sales and orders, and fulfill eligible orders. Still rolling out: updating a description once and pushing it across channels, AI-generated channel-ready titles and details, and fuller profitability reporting.

This is not MCF with a new name. Multi-Channel Fulfillment moves boxes. The new workspace is a control layer over listings, orders, fulfillment, analytics, and eventually profitability.

Now the operator's take: test it before you trust it. Connect one channel and five SKUs. Verify that variants and SKUs map correctly, that an order in Shopify shows up correctly in Seller Central, that tracking writes back to the source channel, and that fees reconcile. Then test the exception paths: a cancellation, a partial shipment, a return, an out-of-stock item. A clean standard order proves nothing about the messy ones. Keep the source channel's dashboard as your source of truth until the test passes.

Two more cautions. First, the AI content tools: use AI to format facts you have already approved, not to invent attributes you have not. An unsupported claim on Walmart is still your liability. Second, the profitability view: treat it as a model to reconcile against your own books, not a ledger. Check which fees, ad spend, returns, and time windows it includes before you move budget on it.

On the data question, Amazon says you choose what to connect, you can disconnect anytime, and off-Amazon data is not shared with other sellers or used for its retail decisions. Take the commitment at face value and still record your permissions, connected stores, and who on your team can touch what.

If you already sell multichannel, this could kill real busywork. If you are Amazon-only, consider it a nudge: diversification just got cheaper. Either way, run the five-SKU test before Q4 swallows your attention.
